Bouchard Makes 200 Back Championship Final

INDIANAPOLIS - Mizzou senior Dominique Bouchard advanced to the championship final of the 200 back Saturday morning at the 2013 NCAA Women's Swimming and Diving Championships in Indianapolis. Her morning swim secured Bouchard her fourth career NCAA individual first team All-America honor, the most for a swimmer in school history.
Bouchard enters finals with the second fastest 200 back time in Saturday morning prelims. The senior broke her own school record with a time of 1:50.94, bettering her old record of 1:51.28 set at the 2013 SEC Championships. She placed second at NCAAs in the event in 2011 and third in 2012.
Mizzou's 400 free relay team of senior Cassie Cunningham, freshman Anna Patterson, sophomore Emily Doucette and sophomore Danielle Barbiea placed 15th to advance to tonight's B final. The Tigers swam 3:17.32 in the event.
In the 100 free, Cunningham swam a 49.12 to place 27th in the event.
Competition at the NCAA Championships will conclude on Saturday evening at 7 p.m. ET.
