MIZZOU HEADS TO KENTUCKY SEEKING ITS NINTH WIN

  • The No. 9/9 Mizzou Tigers (8-1 overall, 4-1 in Southeastern Conference play) will be looking for their ninth win of the season Saturday as they travel to Lexington, Ky., for MU's first game there since 1968 (a 12-6 result to the Wildcats)…
  • Mizzou moved to 8-1 last Saturday with an impressive and dominant 31-3 win over visiting Tennessee, which wrapped up a three-game home stand. With many people wondering how the Tigers would bounce back from their first loss of the season the week prior (a 2-OT heartbreaking 27-24 loss to South Carolina), Mizzou did so in fine fashion. With redshirt freshman QB Maty Mauk filling in for the third-straight game for injured senior co-captain QB James Franklin (shoulder sprain vs. Georgia, status is unknown for this Saturday), the Tigers jumped out to a 24-3 halftime lead thanks to three Mauk TD passes, and they blew the game open with a 26-yard TD run by sophomore TB Russell Hansbrough midway through the 3rd quarter…
  • The Tigers outgained Tennessee by a 502-334 margin in total offense last Saturday, as Mizzou's defense kept doing what they do best - cause havoc and create turnovers. The Tigers forced three more turnovers, getting two interceptions (raising their season total to 17 - second in the nation) and forcing a fumble. They also were credited with 7.0 tackles-for-loss, 3.0 QB sacks, 4 pass breakups and 3 QB hurries, and the three points allowed to Tennessee was well below the Vols' average of 27 coming into the game…
  • The three points allowed by Mizzou against Tennessee marked the fewest points scored against MU in a conference game since a 14-0 win at Iowa State in 2010 (Nov. 20, 2010)…

MORE MIZZOU MATERIAL

  • The Tiger defense won the battle of the trenches against a highly-regarded Tennessee offensive line that came in ranked 18th in the NCAA in fewest sacks allowed per game (1.0). The Volunteers ran for just 94 yards on 24 attempts (3.9 avg.) and the offensive line was flagged for five false starts and a holding penalty…
  • Kentucky enters its game with Mizzou coming off a non-conference defeat of Alabama State by a score of 48-14. The Wildcats have dropped all four of their SEC contests thus far, but they have been within one score in two of their last three league games, dropping a 35-28 game at South Carolina (Oct. 5), and falling at Mississippi State by a slim 28-22 margin (Oct. 24)…
  • Gary Pinkel won his 98th game as head coach at Missouri with the win over Tennessee. Pinkel is now just three wins shy of tying Don Faurot (101 wins from 1935-42, 1946-56) for the most wins in school history…

BCS RAdar engaged

  • Mizzou was placed at No. 8 in the latest Bowl Championship Series rankings (Nov. 3), marking the first time since the final three BCS polls of 2007 (4, 1, 6) that the Tigers were ranked in the poll's Top 10 for three-straight weeks…
  • The Tigers have appeared in the initial three editions of the BCS poll for the first time since the 2010 season, when Mizzou was ranked 11th (Oct. 17), sixth (Oct. 24) and 12th (Oct. 31)…
  • In the 16-year history of the BCS, Mizzou has appeared in every single weekly poll three times (2007, 2008, 2010)…

NINE WINS ON THE HORIZON

  • Mizzou has six 9-win (or better) seasons in program history, with half of those campaigns coming under the direction of head coach Gary Pinkel. A win Saturday against Kentucky would give Mizzou its seventh 9-win regular season in program history (Mizzou's 123rd season)…
  • The Tigers last reached nine wins in 2010 with a 10-2 regular season and trip to the Insight Bowl. Pinkel also got Mizzou there in 2007 and 2008, with 11-2 and 9-4 regular seasons, respectively. Both 2007 and 2008 culminated in bowl victories for the Tigers…
  • Legendary head coach Dan Devine coached Mizzou to a 10-0 regular season record in 1960, with a 9-1 regular season mark in 1969. The first occurance in program history was before the turn of the 20th century, with Missouri's gridiron contingent compiling a 9-2 record in 1899…
  • Mizzou is striving toward its fifth 9-1 start in school history (123rd season) this Saturday at Kentucky, with Pinkel's squad also reaching 9-1 in 2007 en route to an 11-1 regular season record. That squad dropped the Big 12 Conference title game before blowing out Arkansas by a score of 38-7 in the Cotton Bowl…
  • Mizzou has only four previous 9-1 starts to a season in its 122 previous years of football (1899, 1960, 1969, 2007), and has only six previous instances of a 9-win regular season since it began playing football in 1890 (1899 [9], 1960 [10], 1969 [9], 2007 [11], 2008 [9], 2010 [10])…
  • Additionally, in seven of the last eight seasons, Pinkel's Mizzou squad has reached at least eight wins…

WATCH OUT FOR SAM

  • Mizzou's All-American hopeful DE Michael Sam enters Saturday's game against Kentucky leading both the SEC and the nation in QB sacks (10.0 total). He also leads the league in TFLs (1.78 per game/16.0 total), ranking third nationally…
  • The high-motor Tiger was routinely double and triple-teamed in Mizzou's stout 31-3 win vs. Tennessee (Nov. 2), but Sam's teammates fed on UT's distracted offensive line to the tune of 2.0 QB sacks…
  • Sam provided another huge game to help key Mizzou's 36-17 win over No. 22 Florida (Oct. 19). He tallied 3.0 sacks on the day (22 yards in loss), and added four tackles in all, to go with one other QB hurry…
  • The Tiger was named SEC Defensive Player of the Week for his performance against the Gators, marking the second-straight week a Mizzou player brought home the honor (Kentrell Brothers, at Georgia). The recognition was Sam's third weekly conference honor of the season…
  • Sam's outing vs. Florida was his third multi-sack game of 2013. He also had 3.0 sacks in wins over Arkansas State and Vanderbilt earlier in 2013. Sam has pushed his career sack total to 19.5, fourth all-time at Mizzou…
  • Sam also has a knack for finding the ball any way possible, as he picked up a Georgia fumble and returned it 21 yards to break the game open. The touchdown return was his second career score…
  • The 3.0-sack stat line has only been accomplished across the FBS 23 times, with Sam having three of those outings to his credit…
  • Sam is additionally 2.0 sacks away from becoming Mizzou's all-time single-season leader, with former Tiger Aldon Smith's 11.5 sacks in 2009 currently standing as the top mark…

MAUK THROUGH THE AIR AND ON THE GROUND

  • Redshirt freshman QB Maty Mauk became the first Mizzou QB since 2011 (James Franklin vs. North Carolina) to throw and rush for 100 yards in a game with his performance vs. Tennessee (Nov. 2). He ended the night with 163 yards passing and 3 touchdowns (zero interceptions) while he ran for a career-high 114 yards on 13 carries (an 8.8 avg. per attempt)…
  • His TD passes came from 9 yards, 26 yards and 40 yards to three different receivers, and he did not take a sack on the night…
  • Mizzou attempted only five passes in the second half, as the Tiger lead was 31-3 midway through the third quarter…
  • Mauk improved to 2-1 as a starter in relief of injured senior co-captain QB James Franklin. Mauk also came in to get a "save" at Georgia in the fourth quarter of Mizzou's 41-26 win (Oct. 12), when he replaced the injured Franklin and extended the Tigers' tenuous 28-26 lead at the time…
  • Mauk additionally received his second Freshman Player of the Week recognition from the SEC for his strong play against the Volunteers…

A WHOLE LOT OF RUSHING GOING ON

  • Mizzou rushed for 339 yards in the win over Tennessee (Nov. 2), the most since rushing for 358 in the season-opener against Murray State. Besides QB Maty Mauk's previously mentioned 114 yards, the Tigers were fueled by their many options at tailback. Junior Henry Josey rushed for 74 yards, with sophomore Russell Hansbrough (61), junior TB Marcus Murphy (44), redshirt freshman Morgan Steward (32) and junior Greg White (11) getting involved…
  • The 339-yard total marked the most rushing yards by a Mizzou team in a conference game since putting 376 rushing yards up against Iowa State on Nov. 29, 2003…
  • The road-grading performance from Mizzou's offensive line was recognized by the SEC following the UT win, with senior LT Justin Britt earning Offensive Lineman Player of the Week status from the league…
  • The highest conference rushing accumulation for a Pinkel-led squad came just weeks earlier in the 2003 season when the Tigers rolled to 469 yards (and eight rushing touchdowns) in a 62-31 win on Oct. 25, 2003…
  • Of particular note, Mizzou is 13-2 under Pinkel when it rushes for 250 yards or more in conference action. The results thin out to a pristine 10-0 when the Tigers toe or go beyond the "277-yard threshold"…
  • Mizzou has topped 200 yards rushing 36 times in conference action with Pinkel at the helm. Three of those instances (245 at Vanderbilt, 205 vs. Florida, 339 vs. Tennessee) have occurred this season…

INTERCEPTIONS? MIZZOU HAS THOSE

  • Mizzou's steady stream of interceptions continued in the Tigers' 31-3 rout of Tennessee, with senior CB E.J. Gaines returning from missing two games due to injury to snag his fourth pickoff of the season. The INT occurred inside the 7:00 mark in the second quarter, with Gaines' dropping into short coverage to pick off UT QB Joshua Dobbs. Just before the end of the third quarter, Mizzou got its second with junior safety Braylon Webb snagging a deep Dobbs overthrow just ahead of the goal line at the MU 1-yard line…
  • Missouri recorded three interceptions for three-straight games to start the 2013 season, building a solid base for the 17 the defense has collected. The Tigers have more than doubled last season's total of just seven INTs. The 17 pickoffs are tied for second-most in the country with Houston and TCU…
  • Eleven different Tigers have combined for the 17 total interceptions, with senior CB E.J. Gaines leading with four pickoffs. Gaines is also Mizzou's active career interceptions leader with seven…
  • Gaines' per-game INT average of 0.6 ranks him first in the SEC and fourth in the NCAA…
  • Mizzou's 17 interceptions in nine games has put them in the neighborhood of the Tigers' all-time season-best in the category. Mizzou's 1980 team snatched 23 interceptions to fuel them to an 8-4 record and Liberty Bowl berth…

MIZZOU'S DEFENSE LOOKS TO CONTINUE STREAK OF THIEVERY

  • Mizzou's nation-leading stealing steak was extended to 39 games with senior CB E.J. Gaines' second quarter interception of Tennessee QB Joshua Dobbs. Gaines' pick, along with an INT for junior safety Braylon Webb and forced fumble by junior LB Darvin Ruise (recovery by senior safety Matt White), put Mizzou at plus-3 in turnover margin for the evening…
  • The last time Mizzou didn't record a takeaway was Oct. 30, 2010 at Nebraska (a 31-17 loss)…
  • Turnovers came the Tigers' way in the 36-17 win vs. No. 22 Florida (Oct. 19), with freshman CB Aarion Penton intercepting a pass in the 1st-quarter. The Tigers struck again when sophomore DE Shane Ray blew through the Gator o-line to sack QB Tyler Murphy, stripping the ball for his second-straight game with a sack/strip. The ball was recovered at the Florida 7-yard line by DL Harold Brantley at 7:09 in the 4th-quarter…
  • Mizzou forced four Georgia turnovers which proved crucial to the Tigers' 41-26 win (Oct. 12). The first was a 2nd-quarter sack/fumble by Ray that fellow DE Michael Sam picked up and raced 21 yards untouched for a TD that made it 28-10 Tigers with 5:46 left in the half…
  • Amazingly, that marked Mizzou's first recovered fumble of the 2013 season. Another fumble would follow later in the half, as DT Lucas Vincent jarred the ball loose inside the MU 10-yardline, where DE Markus Golden fell on it with 1:31 left in the half to thwart a potential Georgia late score. In the 4th quarter, Mizzou's back seven got in the action, as SS Braylon Webb and LB Kentrell Brothers each grabbed an interception. Webb's theft led to a 7-yard TD run by TB Henry Josey with 2:18 left in the game to put the game on ice, and Brothers sealed it with his interception on the Tiger 18-yardline (his team-leading 3rd INT of the season)…
  • Mizzou's defense now has 17 interceptions through nine games (after recording only 7 INTs in 12 games in 2012), and the Tigers are tied for second-most in the nation. Mizzou is +15 on the year entering Saturday's game against Kentucky - 24 takeaways, 9 turnovers lost). The Tigers' 1.67 margin/game ranks third in the nation…

STREAK OF THIEVERY SUPPLEMENTED BY SURE-HANDED TIGERS

  • Mizzou's 31-3 win over Tennessee marked the third time this season, and third time in SEC play, that the Tigers gave zero turnovers to its opponent. The Tigers enter Saturday's game at Kentucky ranked third in the NCAA (first in the SEC) in turnover margin, at +1.7 per game…
  • Head coach Gary Pinkel's squad also allowed zero takeaways to Vanderbilt on Oct. 5 (W, 51-28) and at No. 7 Georgia on Oct. 12 (W, 41-26)…
  • Mizzou's nine turnovers lost (five INTs, four fumbles) this season ranks tied for 12th nationally and third in the SEC…
  • Mizzou has been plus-3 in turnover margin in a whopping seven of nine games in 2013…

DEFENSIVE LINE IS MIZZOU DEFENSE'S ENGINE

  • Mizzou's defensive line added to the Tigers' SEC-leading sack total with 2.0 more coming in the 31-3 win over Tennessee. Junior DE Markus Golden secured 1.0 (7 yards lost), with junior DL Matt Hoch and sophomore DE Shane Ray combining for another 4-yard loss. The Tigers enter the Kentucky game with a conference-best 27.0 sacks…
  • The Tigers' defensive linemen have been making plays all season, with 26.0 of Mizzou's total 27.0 sacks going to their credit. The same is true for total tackles-for-loss, with the D-line recording 49.5 of the 68.0 total…
  • One huge key to Mizzou's big win at Vanderbilt (Oct. 5) was the havoc created in the backfield by the Tiger defensive line. Mizzou's front four got pressure all night long, and the Tigers ended the game with 7.0 sacks in all - with all of them coming from the line…
  • The 7.0 sacks marked the most by Mizzou since they recorded 7.0 in a 30-9 win at Texas A&M on Oct. 16, 2010 against Aggie QB Ryan Tannehill…

SACK SUCCESS A STORY FOR TIGERS

  • Mizzou now has 24.0 QB sacks in its last six games, and that's been a welcome sight, as the Tigers had totaled only 3.0 combined sacks in its first three outings (with all three coming in the opener against Murray State)…
  • Mizzou's average of 3.00 QB sacks per game is the top mark in the SEC heading into Saturday's action at Kentucky, and it ranks the Tigers tied for 13th nationally…
  • Individually, senior DE Michael Sam now ranks first in the SEC, and tied for first in the nation, with his 10.0 sacks (1.11 sacks-per-game average). Sam is also the league's top-ranked performer in tackles-for-loss currently, with an average of 1.78 per game, which also ranks him third nationally…

CAN'T CATCH WASHINGTON

  • Senior WR L'Damian Washington has emerged as one of the top receiving targets in the SEC. The Shreveport, La., native is second in the league with 9 TD catches through nine games, and his average per catch (18.89) and yards per game (75.6) rank sixth and seventh in the conference, respectively. He ranks 25th and 65th nationally in those respective categories…
  • The tall Tiger (6'4") is blasting away his previous season highs with his current 36 catches for 680 yards and nine scores. He previous best in catches and yards was 25 for 443 yards last season, and he accounted for a previous-best three TD snags as a sophomore in 2011…
  • Washington's big play potential is apparent when it's taken into account that he has now caught a 20-yard (or longer) pass in eight-straight games, dating back to snagging 25-yard and 20-yard throws from QB James Franklin in the win over Toledo (Sept. 7)…
  • The big plays translate to his scoring prowess, as well. According to Mizzou historian Tom Orf, Washington's 9 career touchdown catches of 20-plus yards ranks fourth in school history behind Tiger greats Danario Alexander (14), Jeremy Maclin (13) and Mel Gray (11)…

JOSEY DOES HIS THING

  • Junior TB Henry Josey ran for a season-high 136 yards and added a touchdown in his ninth career 100-yard rushing game in the win vs. No. 22 Florida (Oct. 19). He averaged 7.6 yards per carry against a stout Gator defense which came into the game ranked 4th in the nation in rush defense, allowing an average of only 83.3 yards on the ground per game…
  • Josey scored on a 6-yard run off left tackle with 13:24 left in the third quarter to cap a critical drive which answered a Florida score. The Gators opened the second half with a 100-yard kickoff return to close to within 13-10, but the Tigers responded with a 75-yard, 5-play drive that culminated in Josey's 6-yard score to give some breathing room again, at 20-10…
  • Later in the third, Josey lied motionless on the ground holding his surgically-repaired knee after being tackled awkwardly, but after a few minutes with the MU trainers, he got up and jogged off the field to a big ovation from the sellout crowd. Two series later, after being checked out on the sideline, he was allowed to return, and his first touch produced a 50-yard run down to the UF 25-yardline. That run set up a field goal which gave MU a key two-score lead, at 26-17…
  • This, of course, came after it took659 days for Josey to make his big return to start the 2013 season. He rushed for 113 yards on just 13 carries (8.7 avg.) and one touchdown in Mizzou's season-opening, 58-14 victory over Murray State…
  • Josey was awarded with a game ball by Mizzou Head Coach Gary Pinkel in the locker room after the Murray State game, and that was the first time ever in Pinkel's 35-year coaching career that he had ever awarded a game ball to an individual…
  • Josey had a productive night vs. Tennessee (Nov. 2), as he rushed for 74 yards on a career-high 16 carries (4.6 avg.). That total increased his career rushing yardage mark to 2,252, moving him into the MU Top 10 career rushing yardage list. Josey enters the Kentucky game ranked No. 9 on the chart, and is 105 yards behind No. 8 on the list (James Wilder - 2,357 yards from 1978-80)…
  • Josey also enters Saturday's game ranked ninth in the SEC in rushing (71.89 avg.), and 23rd in scoring (5.3 ppg)…

MIZZOU IS NCAA'S ALL-TIME OVERTIME KING

  • If it seems like Mizzou has been involved in a lot of overtime games, well, you're not crazy, because the Tigers have now played more OT games than any FBS school since the rule was put in place for the 1995 bowl season…
  • Mizzou had a heart-stopping, acid reflux-inducing 51-48 four-overtime win at Tennessee last season in Knoxville. The Tigers never led in regulation, and forced the extra sessions by scoring a TD to tie the game with just :47 seconds left to play. Mizzou and the Vols then traded TDs in the first three overtime periods, before the Tiger defense got a 4th-down stop to begin the 4th OT period. Needing only a field goal for the win, the Tigers got exactly that, when PK Andrew Baggett nailed a 35-yard FG to end the game…
  • The win also broke a tie that Mizzou held with, incidentally, Tennessee, for most OT wins in FBS history. The Tigers have an FBS-best 11 all-time overtime wins (11-5 overall), while Tennessee is in 2nd place in that category, with 10 wins (10-4 overall)…
  • The Tigers dropped a heart-breaking 27-24 2-OT decision to No. 20 South Carolina (Oct. 26) at Faurot Field, marking the 12th season that Mizzou has played in an overtime contest in the 18 seasons it has been in play (1996-present)…
  • Fresno State, with 15 OT games played, is next on the most-played list after Mizzou, and they are 7-8 alltime. Five schools have played 14 OT affairs, including Tennessee (10-4), East Carolina (7-7), Pittsburgh (6-8), TCU (6-8) and SMU (3-11)…
  • Mizzou had won five straight OT games before falling at Arizona State in 2011…
  • Interestingly, MU Head Coach Gary Pinkel is credited with winning the very first overtime game ever played in Division I history, when his Toledo Rockets beat Nevada, 40-37, in the 1995 Las Vegas Bowl. The overtime rule was put into effect for that bowl season, and has been in use ever since…
  • Pinkel is now 10-3 alltime in his career in overtime games, including 8-3 at Mizzou.

MAUK PERFORMS ADMIRABLY AGAINST THE GATORS

  • Thrown into the fire as he made his first-ever collegiate start subbing for injured senior captain James Franklin, redshirt freshman QB Maty Mauk threw for 295 yards and a touchdown (with one interception), while also adding a rushing touchdown to seal the game in the fourth quarter, as he led the Tigers to a 36-17 win over No. 22 Florida (Oct. 19)…
  • Mauk led the Tiger offense to a 500-yard and 36-point day against the vaunted Florida defense, which came into last Saturday's game ranked 3rd in the NCAA in total defense (allowing 235.3 yards per game coming in) and 4th in the NCAA in scoring defense (allowing just 13.0 points per game coming in)…
  • Florida entered the game toting the nation's No. 3-ranked pass defense (152.0 yards per game) and the nation's No. 2-ranked pass efficiency defense…
  • Mauk was named SEC Freshman Player of the Week for his outstanding play against the Gators…
  • It took the redshirt freshman all of two plays, a 41-yard pass to L'Damian Washington and a 20-yard pass to Bud Sasser (TD), to put the Tigers in front 7-0 just 22 seconds into the contest…
  • Mauk finished the game throwing for 295 yards vs. Florida, the most the Gators have allowed in a game all season. The 295 yards by Mauk are the most ever by a Tiger freshman in his debut start and the fourth highest total by a freshman, just behind: Tony Scardino vs. OU (1952)- 365 yards; Brad Smith vs. Bowling Green (2002) - 334 yards and Phil Johnson vs. KU (1990) - 306 yards. Mauk's 295 yards passing were by far the most against Florida in 2013. The previous high was 164 by Arkansas…
  • It marked the first time Florida gave up 500 yards in an SEC game since 2007 against Kentucky. The 36 points scored by Mizzou snapped a string of 13 consecutive games in which Florida held an SEC opponent to 20 points or fewer…

FIRST ROAD TOP-10 WIN SINCE 1981

  • Mizzou fell behind at No. 7 Georgia (Oct. 12) by a 7-0 score, but rallied to score 28 of the next 31 points in the first half, outscoring the Bulldogs 28-3 to take a commanding 28-10 lead into halftime. Georgia found its groove in the third quarter and ultimately pulled to within 28-26 early in the fourth quarter, but the Tigers dug in and answered with two touchdowns to pull away for the big win - Mizzou's first on the road against a top-10 opponent since a 14-3 win in 1981 at No. 9 Mississippi State…
  • Mizzou got the win despite losing a pair of captains and award candidate players in senior QB James Franklin and senior CB E.J. Gaines to injuries. Gaines was lost for the day early in the second quarter with a quad injury, and Franklin (2nd in the SEC in total offense coming into the game) was lost midway through the 4th quarter with a shoulder injury. Redshirt freshman QB Maty Mauk came in and led the Tigers to touchdowns on two of three possessions to help secure the win…
  • The win also broke Georgia's 15-game home winning streak at Sanford Stadium…

FRANKLIN DELIVERS

  • Senior QB James Franklin led Mizzou to a 28-10 halftime lead at No. 7 Georgia and finished the game completing 18-of-27 passes for 170 yards and one score. Franklin also rushed for his third TD of 2013 . The signal caller was knocked of the contest midway through the fourth quarter with a shoulder injury. The injury has kept Franklin out ever since and his return is questionable this week..
  • Franklin threw four touchdown passes for the second time in his career in the 51-28 win at Vanderbilt (Oct. 5), matching his four-TD performance in the 51-48 4OT win at Tennessee last season. It was additionally the seventh time in his career he has thrown for at least three scores…
  • Franklin finished the game against the Commodores completing 19-of-28 passes for 278 yards, the four scores and zero interceptions. The outing featured 341 yards of total offense for Franklin, as he also ran for 63 yards on 12 attempts…
  • He recored14 passing TDs and 3 rushing TDs through six games in 2013, compared to 2012 totals of 10 passing TDs and zero rushing TDs…
  • Through six games, Franklin had Mizzou's offense ranked 12th in the NCAA in total offense (515.7 ypg), 8th nationally in scoring offense (45.7 ppg) and 10th nationally in 3rd-down conversion rate (51.0%)…
  • Franklin amassed a career-best 404 yards of total offense as he led the Tigers to a convincing 45-28 road win at Indiana (Sept. 21). He finished the night 32-of-47 passing for a career-high 343 yards, two touchdowns (7 yards, 14 yards) and two interceptions, while also rushing for 61 yards and one touchdown (1 yard) on 13 carries (4.7 avg.)…

TAKING CARE OF NON-CONFERENCE BUSINESS

  • Having completed its non-conference schedule, Mizzou's statisical improvements are staggering. Mizzou rushed for 1,049 yards in the four games, as opposed to just 596 yards vs. non-league teams in 2012…
  • In terms of total offense against non-conference foes, Mizzou's 2,196 yards outpaces the 1,600 from last year…
  • Mizzou's offense moved the ball at an impressive clip, notching 112 first downs in the first four games this season. Against 2012 non-conference opponents, the Tigers' claimed 77 first downs…

Gary Pinkel IS EIGHTH-WINNINGEST ACTIVE FBS COACH

  • With his 171 career wins in 23 seasons as a head coach, Mizzou's Gary Pinkel is ranked eighth among active FBS coaches. Pinkel has a career record of 171-99-3 all-time (63.2%), including a 73-37-3 record (64.6%) in 10 years at Toledo (1991-2000) and 98-62 (61.3%) in 13 years at Mizzou…

PINKEL HAS SECOND-MOST WINS IN MIZZOU HISTORY
