
Mizzou Golf 10th After Day One In Tennessee

Mizzou Men's Golf completed the first round of play at the Bank of Tennessee Intercollegiate Friday afternoon. As a team, the Tigers shot 7-over-par to earn a first round score of 295. They are tied for 10th with Virginia heading into Saturday's second round.
Leading the tournament field after 18 holes is host school East Tennessee State University. The Bucs shot 11-under-par and held a commanding lead over the competition throughout the day. Virginia Tech (-4) finished in second while Kent State (-3) and Coastal Carolina (-3) tied to round out the top three.
The Tigers' top finishers from the first day of the tournament were Hunter Kraus (+1) and Wilson Sundvold (+1). Both golfers are tied for 29th and the Tennessee native, Kraus, shot his best first round score of the season.
Senior Emilio Cuartero (+2) ended the day tied for 41st. Just behind Cuartero is freshman Euan Walker (+3) who is tied for 53rd. Ryan Zech (+9) rounds out the placing for Mizzou as he sits in a tie for 71st heading into the second round of the tournament.
