
Mizzou Golf Earns National Academic Award

Columbia, Mo. - Missouri Golf received another academic accolade on Thursday when the program was honored by the Golf Coaches Association of America for having a team grade-point average above a 3.0.
Head Coach Mark Leroux's squad finished its 2012 season with a pair of individuals qualifying for the NCAA Regional Championship and each of those standouts, Jace Long and Emilio Cuartero, return in 2012-13.
Cuartero and Nick Wilson were honored as first team Academic All-Big 12 honorees last season as well.
In the classroom Missouri joined fellow SEC schools Arkansas, Auburn, South Carolina, Tennessee and Vanderbilt as teams achieving a 3.0 GPA or higher.
