The Missouri Soccer team kicked off a different kind of training session this week, as they welcomed the Mizzou Army ROTC for the first week of leadership training.
During the first session the Tigers were warmed up with a memory exercise lead by Master Sergeant Wayne Morse, where they had to remember a group of items after seeing them for only a minute and taking a few laps.
Then Mizzou was broken up into three teams consisting of five to seven soccer players with one Army cadet. The teams were then challenged to build a tower using only balloons and a roll of tape.
"This morning was not what anyone expected it to be, it was a really good time while learning to work together." said junior Jessica Greer. The Tigers felt like even though the activity was a tough competition, it was all in fun and really helped them bond as a team.
"Being so competitive as a team, also helps with team building because we will push each other till we know each team member is giving their best," Greer said. The soccer Tigers and Army ROTC Tigers will meet two more times in the coming weeks with more leadership training.
