Texas Head Coach, Gail Goestenkors
On Senior Night...
"Well, Brock we couldn't do anything with her. She had one of the best, if not the best game. In the second half, I was glad we were able to get some stops and pull away."
On stopping Christine Flores...
"She missed some open shots. It is senior night you never know how it is going to affect everybody. Brock, it prevailed her, and Flores, unfortunately missed some shots that she would normally hit. She has been playing at an elite level for the four games that I have been doing her stats. She was averaging 20 and 7. She was hitting three 3's a game and almost six free throws. I told my team she was getting 15 points from 3's and free throws, so make her shoot free throws. Don't let her make threes and don't put her on the line because she is an exceptional free throw shooter overall. We did a good job, made her miss some shots that she is hitting. We were fortunate the way Brock was playing. If they both had been on fire, it would have been a tough night for us."
On the opening minutes of the second half...
"We were attacking much more on offense. We looked like we were in molasses early on defensively. We were moving very slowly, and that is not our game. We have to be attacking in transition and to do that we need to rebound and in the first half, we did not do a good job of doing that. At one point, we were down nine on the boards and made a comeback and we just pulled back in transition."

Opening Statement...
"I think senior day is always an interesting, you never know exactly how it is going to go, there is a lot of emotion. We got too much into the spectrum. BreAnna Brock had a tremendous game for us. It really showed in her play, her fight and her toughness. Unfortunately for Christine, she had one of her worst games in four years. She is a heck of a ball player. I have seen senior nights, some crazy things can happen. Tonight, unfortunately was the night she got caught up in the emotion and she didn't play to the level that Christine Flores is capable of playing."
On not having Christine Flores playing at her normal level...
"She is a big part of what they do. You have to count on your veteran player and those experienced players. Anybody in our lineup who goes 0-13 is going to make it tough. You are going to have to ask Christine about her emotions. I know this means a lot to her. There is a lot of emotion on senior day. I do not question our player's heart and never have this entire season."
On a slow start to the second half...
"It didn't seem like our team as of late. It is probably different for each individual player. We talked about it at halftime that we could have been up by 15. We didn't take advantage of the opportunities that we had. You can't classify our whole team where that mentality was. It was probably a little bit different for each player."
On Texas's first four minutes of the second half...
"I agree with you. We talk all the time about the first four minutes of the second half. We really tried to be the aggressors and we had an unforced turnover to start the possession, which doesn't really set the tone really well. They go down on the other end and are in attack mode. Those first four minutes they played with a lot more energy and we were not where we needed to be."

Freshman Guard Kyley Simmons on the pressures of playing on senior night...
"I went out there and tried to give it my all for my seniors. I did everything I could and yes there are some mistakes. I take full responsibility for the way we came out. As a leader of this team and what we are trying to get at, I think that is my responsibility and that is why we came out flat and why we were not talking."
Freshman Guard Morgan Eye on the pressures of playing on senior night...
"I know in contributed four of the turnovers, and that is something--there are somethings that we just didn't get done today."
