Missouri Head Coach Robin Pingeton
On the big win...
"I'm so proud of our players. This a big win. Kansas State is a very good team. They've got some tremendous players and a great coaching staff. I'm excited for our girls because we've talked about this a lot. I truly believe we're a better team than we were a month ago. They've continued to stay the course - their focus, their, energy their effort."
On Liene Priede making a big shot...
"I couldn't be more happy for someone than I am for Liene. There aren't a lot of players get home from a road trip at 12:30 at night, and laced them up and put some gym shorts on to get some shots in. It just doesn't happen; it's unheard of. After some home games when she's disappointed with her play, she continues to go over in the practice gym when everybody else is getting postgame meal and doing their own things. She continues to put in that time outside of practice and outside of games. For her to hit that shot tonight - not surprising. Not one bit surprised."
On how Coach Pingeton drew up the last play of regulation...
"I think it's exactly like we drew it. I said, "bank it in." No, actually not. Actually, it was for Christine Flores, but we talk all the time when we go through situations in practice. We have to have players that will be willing to make plays. We can't determine ahead of time rotations and defensively how they're going to guard situations. Bottom line is, we have to have players that will make plays. LP made a play for us today and a big play to send us into overtime."
On winning two of the last three...
"I'm just so proud of their ability and their resiliency to continue to do right. You look at our senior class - Christine, Bre and Bailey - it's hard. You've gone through a coaching change and you haven't had the success that maybe you would've hoped you'd have in your college career. But sometimes that's life, and we talk a lot about life lessons. We're going to finish this a certain way, and we're going to finish going out fighting. I think to see that out of them is so rewarding as a coach. It doesn't happen all the time. Game after game, day after day, they continue to get themselves up and go battle, compete and let it all hang out."

Mizzou Player Quotes
On her defense on Brittany Chambers...
"I was just trying not to let her catch the ball in the first place. I mean, that's what was expected of me. I was just supposed to shut her down. I got the job done... but not really because she had six points."
On her big shot...
"So, basically, I was looking for Christine, but I could not find her. So, I knew that the clock was running down, so I thought I might as well just take that shot. I kind of saw it wasn't going straight, but I had a feeling it was going to hit the backboard and go in... and it did. Praise the Lord and thanks to Jesus."

Kansas State Head Coach Deb Patterson
Opening Statement
"Well it was another classic hard fought Big 12 game and all credit to Missouri for the strength in which they finished regulation. I thought that was probably the thing in the end that made the difference in this basketball game was they continued to step up and when they had opportunities to get to the foul line late in the game they converted. Our last minute and a half or two minutes of regulation, I think did us in. We had two fouls at about 93 feet with the lead. We didn't step to the line and drop down foul shots and we turned the ball over from within the one-thirty range down to the zero mark. When you combine those elements, especially when you are on the road, people are going to step up and make plays and I thought Missouri took advantage of every opening we allowed in the damn and we certainly did that. We did not take advantage and finish well with the lead down the stretch. I thought that was extremely significant. Certainly with eight seconds left you would like to think that you could guard the three ball, you know it's a shot off the glass. We've lost before on those kind of shots, and that's again Big 12 basketball. People are not going to relent and if you give them an inch, there is a chance they are going to convert and Missouri did. That is what I mean by finishing the game well, every little game in the end is what separates you and today they took care of the details that last two minutes off the game better than we did."
On the second half...
"You know it was a grind it out game. I didn't think we were connecting on the offensive end of the floor with any consistency. We might get a little bit of life in one element of our game, and mindlessly come out and turn away from that on our next trip up the floor. Our decisions were very questionable, they weren't consistent, and again on the road a team with nothing to lose, they have been playing well relative to early in the year, and we just did not take advantage of opportunities that we had. Whether it was possessions, whether they were the lead, whether they were trips to the foul line, big rebounds that we could convert and eat up clock we threw out of bounds, just decisions that are going to beat you.
On how much Missouri has improved since the first meeting...
"Well I think they are significantly better. They just have a better feel for where they want the ball each possession. They are putting themselves in position relative to their strengths to maximize that possession. They are better competitively, like I said they finished the game better than we did. When we are in a battle to win our 10th game and they are in a battle to win their 2nd, but they are making the plays down the stretch. I think mentally they have a better feel, they have continued to remain competitive, and probably have become more competitive in my opinion now than they were earlier in the season when they weren't really sure who they were. They have two really effective post players and they maximize the touches for them there and you know the rebounding ends up 50/50 , so they are doing the work phases of the game, I just think they are doing a great job and they are building momentum even though its late in the season."
