
Missouri Sees Success in Final Day of Grand Prix

COLUMBIA, Mo. - The Tigers closed out a busy weekend with swimmers meeting Olympic Time Trial qualifications on day three of the Missouri Grand Prix. Elite swimmers from all over the world traveled to the Mizzou Aquatic Center for a chance to meet qualifications in order to participate in the Olympic Time Trials. Other swimmers competed as a way to tune up for the 2012 London Olympics.
Canadian Dominique Bouchard finished 4th in the 200 Backstroke event. Bouchard notched a speedy time of 2:12.56 in the event. Jack Brown met Olympic Time Trial qualifying standards in the 200 IM. Brown finished third in the event in 2:04.98, which puts him above the qualifying time of 2:06.59.
