COLUMBIA, Mo. – The outpouring of support in the Columbia area for the victims of the recent tornado in Joplin continues to be strong. One of the many opportunities that mid-Missourians will have to contribute will take place this Saturday, as D'Rowe's Restaurant and Mizzou Football will partner to collect items that will go Joplin.
Mid-Missouri residents are encouraged to come out to D'Rowe's (1005 Club Village Drive) this Saturday, May 28th from 8 a.m.-2 p.m. and help former Tiger player David Rowe, along with Mizzou coaches and players pack the Mizzou Football semi full of the following needed items:
- Flashlights
- Batteries
- Rubbermaid Containers
- Trash Bags
- Band Aids
- Neosporin Ointment
- Bottled Water
- Basic Toiletries (Toothpaste/Toothbrush, etc.)
Once the truck is packed, Mizzou coaches and players will accompany the truck down to Joplin to deliver the items on a day to be determined.
For those unable to come out Saturday, please remember there are many ways to contribute to the cause. By texting "JOPLIN" to 864833, a $10 donation will go to the Heart of Missouri United Way.

Tornado Relief T-shirts, with all proceeds going to support the United Way's United for Joplin campaign. Shirts are available for $14.95 at , as well as the Memorial Stadium Tiger Team Store and the University Bookstore on campus.
