
Swimming and Diving Takes on SIU, Kentucky

Columbia, Mo. - The University of Missouri swimming and diving team will participate in a tri-meet with Southern Illinois University and the University of Kentucky this Saturday, November 5, at 10:00 a.m.
The Tigers travel to Kentucky after the men's team participated in the Southwest Plunge and the women's team traveled to a meet against Texas A&M.
At the Southwest Plunge in Dallas the men's team placed third. In the 200 yard freestyle relay, the relay team of John Krause, Neil O'Halloran, Ramon Melo, and Mark Conroy took the third place slot with a time of 1:24.61. In the 200 yard medley relay, the Tigers took third place again with the team of Ryan Sellers, Igor Kozlovskij, Neil O'Halloran, and Ramon Melo recording a time of 1:31.75.
Though the women's team fell to Texas A&M they still had a successful trip to Texas. The relay team of Cassie Cunningham, Rachel Ripley, Shara Stafford, and Lisa Nathanson took the first place spot in the 200 yard medley relay with a time of 1:42.06, and met the NCAA women's qualifying B-standard. In diving, Jordan Morcom placed third with a score of 288.63 in the 1 meter diving event and also placed third in the 3 meter diving event with a score of 338.70.
