
Men's Team Places Third at Southwest Plunge

Columbia, Mo. - The men's swimming and diving team closed out this weekend's Southwest Plunge with a third place finish, edging out SMU and placing behind Texas and Texas A&M with a total of 624 points.
The Tigers had an excellent showing on day two of the event. Igor Kozlovskij placed first in the men's 200 yard breaststroke with a time of 2: 01.49. Kozlovskij also placed third in the 100 yard breaststroke recording a time of 56.48, less then a second away from the NCAA men's qualifying B-standard.
In the 200 yard freestyle relay, the relay team of John Krause, Neil O'Halloran, Ramon Melo, and Mark Conroy took the third place slot with a time of 1:24.61. In the 200 yard medley relay, the Tigers took third place again with the team of Ryan Sellers, Igor Kozlovskij, Neil O'Halloran, and Ramon Melo recording a time of 1:31.75.
In the 200 yard butterfly, the Tigers took the second and third sport with Neil O'Halloran placing second with a time of 1:50.78 and Mack Darragh recording a time of 1:51.40 for third place. In the men's 200 yard freestyle, Eegan Groome had a time of 1:41.24 for a fourth place spot.
