The contest went back and forth in the opening half before the Tigers used a goal from sophomore Dominique Richardson in the 51st minute to go up 1-0. Mizzou's defense, led by redshirt freshman goalkeeper McKenzie Sauerwein, held the Buckeyes off the scoreboard to preserve the upset victory.

RICHARDSON EARNS NATIONAL ACCOLADES
Sophomore Dominique Richardson earned spots on Soccer America's National Team of the Week and CollegeSoccer360.com's Primetime Performers following a four-point weekend against No. 7 Ohio State and Purdue.

Richardson notched the game-winner in MU's 1-0 upset over the Buckeyes on Aug. 26. The Fullerton, Calif., native put the Tigers on the board in the 51st minute and helped the defense hold on for the victory.

Two days later against Purdue, Richardson gave Mizzou its first lead of the game, 2-1, after heading home a corner kick from Kelsey Mulcahy in the 51st minute.

Richardson was a member of the 2010 Big 12 All-Newcomer Team a year ago after notching nine points on three goals and three assists during her freshman season.

BALANCED ATTACK
Through four games this season, the Tigers have scored 10 goals, with seven different players tallying at least one score. Additionally, nine different Tigers have recorded a point this year, which is tied for second among Big 12 teams.

Through four games so far this season, Mizzou's underclassmen have made an enormous impact on the field.
