Richardson Back to U.S. U-20 Camp

Dominique Richardson joins the U.S. Under-20 Women's National team for an 8 day camp and two games against its counterpart from Japan during the camp. The two matches against the Asian power house will take place Wednesday, June 8 and Saturday, June 11, both games will kick off at 4 p.m. Pacific Time. The training camp runs from June 4-12 at the Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista, Calif. The camp will help U.S. head coach April Heinrichs prepare the team for the 2012 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup in Uzbekistan.

"It's great for her and the program to be seen on the national stage," said head coach Bryan Blitz. "It shows that her hard work has paid off."

Of the 24 invitees, 14 are in college and the remaining train on the club level. Richardson started every game of the 2010 season, tallying 1,557 total minutes and scoring three goals. She was named to the All-Big 12 newcomer team and was recognized by Top Drawer Soccer as one of the Top 100 College Freshmen in the nation.
