Mizzou Women's Golf lost a close friend on Tuesday as longtime supporter Johnie Imes passed away in Evansville, Ind.

Imes spent much of life supporting women's golf and the Mizzou Women's Golf program. Each fall, Mizzou hosts the Johnie Imes Invitational in her honor.

Visitation for Imes will be at the Memorial Funeral Home (1217 Business Loo 70 West) 5-8 p.m. on Friday. The funeral services will be held at Missouri United Methodist Church (South 9th Street) at 10 a.m. on Saturday.

The Dr. Elvin Imes Scholarship benefits the Mizzou Women's Golf team and was started by Johnie Imes when her husband, Dr. Elvn Imes, passed away.
