Missouri turned in its best round of the tournament, carding a 309 on Tuesday to finish with a three-round score of 937, which put it in 14th place as the 2010 Johnie Imes Invitational wrapped up at The Club at Old Hawthorne.
Oklahoma State claimed the title with a three-round total of one-under-par 863. OSU finished 15 shots ahead of second place, which was shared by Colorado and Oklahoma. OU took the tiebreaker to claim runner-up honors.
Senior Nicola Race led MU, placing in a tie for 27th with a 54-hole total of 227. She shot a 74 on Tuesday, turning in the lowest final round for the Tigers.
Junior Marissa Cook had Mizzou's second best score of the day with a 75 and was the Tigers' second best finisher, coming in tied for 69th place with a final total of 239. Junior Kelly Osborne and freshman Ariana Savich finished one shot behind Savich with 54-hole totals of 240, which put them in a tie for 71st spot.
Freshman Taylor Gohn finished 76th with a three-round total of 243.
Freshman Kate Gallagher and sophomore Ahnna Kim led four Tigers who played in the event as individuals, finishing in a tie for 64th spot with three-round scores of 238. Senior Lindsay Burry had a 54-hole score of 255, while junior Kelsey Meyer had a 259 total.
Up next for Mizzou is the Dale McNamara Invitational on Oct. 11-13 in Tulsa, Okla. before closing out the fall schedule with the Las Vegas Shootout on Oct. 25-26.
