
Freshman Leads Tigers in Vegas

Mizzou Women's Golf stands in a tie for seventh place after the first round of the Las Vegas Showdown at Boulder Creek Golf Club. Missouri turned in a round of 298 in Monday's opening round to tie with Colorado State for seventh and just two shots out of the top-five.
Arkansas leads with a first-round score of 277.
Freshman Kate Gallagher turned in the best round of the day for Mizzou, carding a one-under-par 71. Gallagher made six birdies on the day and stands in a tie for eighth place.
Junior Marissa Cook is in a tie for 24th place with a first round score of 74. Freshman Ariana Savich's 75 on Monday puts her tied for 32nd spot, while senior Nicola Race and freshman Ahnna Kim both recorded a 78 and are among a group tied for 64th place.
Arkansas' Emily Tubert leads after shooting a round of nine-under-par 63 on Monday. She holds a five-shot lead over Karinn Dickinson of Washington and Kayla Mortellaro of Idaho.
The second round of the Las Vegas Showdown will be played on Tuesday, with the final round slated for Wednesday.
