
Mizzou Opens McNamara Invitational with 314

The Mizzou women's golf team carded a round of 314 in the first round of play at the Dale McNamara Invitational at the Patriot Golf Club in Owasso, Okla. and stands in a tie for 14th place with SMU.
Leading the Tigers is senior Nicola Race, whose 76 on Monday places her among a group of 11 tied for 28th place. Sophomore Ahnna Kim turned in a 78 and stands in a tie for 42nd spot.
Freshman Ariana Savich is tied for 50th place with a first-round 79, while junior Marissa Cook is tied for 68th place with an 81 and freshman Kate Gallagher's round of 84 places her 78th.
Freshman Taylor Gohn is competing as an individual and joins Cook in the group tied for 68th spot after carding an 81.
UNLV and Oklahoma are tied for the lead after the first round with scores of 292 on Monday, followed by Middle Tennessee State, which turned in a 293.
The individual leader is Oklahoma's Ellen Mueller, who shot a 67, followed by Tulsa's Kristina Merkle, who is one shot behind Mueller.
The second round will be played on Tuesday, with the third round scheduled for Wednesday.
