Hey tiger fans! We made it through another week of practice! Practices have been getting better and better for the entire team. Although we still have a few girls who are limited due to injuries, everyone overall has been improving! This week was the first week we have started twisting vaults again. On bars, we are piecing skills together and doing part routines. On beam, our skills are getting more consistent and we have started doing part routines and dance-throughs. Almost everyone has their new floor routines and has been practicing them in practice. We have been doing sprint routines, where you do three sprints instead of a tumbling pass; this is to build up our endurance for when we start actually tumbling in our routines. We also have been doing "shotgun" tumbling - tumbling passes back-to-back. The lack of rest time between passes will prepare us to be able to perform our tumbling when we are tired during routines.

Our freshmen have been adjusting well to college life. With practice, treatment, classes, studying, team meetings, lifting and running, community service, etc... we are all busy! It's a lot to get used to, but they are all doing well. With such a large incoming class, they have a huge impact on our team chemistry; they are all fun, sweet girls and really fit in well with our team! We are glad that each and every one of them decided to come to Mizzou! In the gym, we will be depending on them this year!

That's all for now. Keep checking in to see how we are doing. Go tigers!
