- The official attendance was 61,617.
- Missouri is on a school-record 13 game non-conference win streak dating back to the 2007 season. The last loss in a non-conference game came to Oregon State (39-38) in the Sun Bowl in El Paso, Texas. Mizzou's last non-conference loss in the regular season came to New Mexico (45-35) in 2005 at Faurot Field.
- Mizzou's 42 first half points tied for the most the Tigers have scored under Pinkel. The team also racked up 42 points in the first half against SEMO last year.
- Senior wide receiver Danario Alexander threw the first passing touchdown of his career when he hit Perry for a 40-yard TD. The score marked Mizzou's longest touchdown pass from a non-quarterback since wide receiver Darius Outlaw had a 47-yard strike to Brad Smith against Nebraska in 2003.
- Alexander also had 13-yard and 17-yard TD catches from quarterback Blaine Gabbert to become the first player to throw and catch a touchdown pass in the same game since Chase Coffman threw a 29-yard TD pass to Tommy Saunders and caught an 18-yard TD pass from Chase Daniel against Oregon State in the 2006 Sun Bowl.
- Alexander and fellow senior wide receiver Jared Perry both recorded the first multi-TD games of their career against Furman. Perry had scores of 48-yards and 40-yards, while Alexander caught TDs of 13-yards and 17-yards. He entered the contest with touchdowns in eight different games, including both contests this season.
- Perry recorded the first 100-yard receiving output in his career when he finished with a personal best 161, all in the first half. The mark is the 16th best receiving output in MU history. Perry's previous single-game best was 98, which he posted against Nevada last season.
- Gabbert picked up his second career rushing touchdown with a 40-yard scamper in the second quarter. The run was the longest of his career, besting a 30-yard rush against Illinois. With a 48-yard passing TD to Perry, Gabbert became the first Tiger with a passing and running touchdown of at least 40 yards in a game since Brad Smith accomplished the feat against Kansas in 2002. Smith had a 75-yard TD run and a 62-yard TD pass to Justin Gage in that game.
- Gabbert tied his personal best with three touchdown passes, a mark he previously set at Illinois this year. With his 17-of-25 performance against Furman, the sophomore is now 62-of-91 on the year for a completion percentage of 68.1 percent. In comparison, Chase Daniel and Brad Smith had completion percentages of 66.7 and 55.3, respectively, in their first three starts.
- Senior linebacker Sean Weatherspoon recorded six tackles to tie former Tiger Jason Simpson for ninth-place on the all-time tackles list with 331. He needs just 16 more to pass Darryl Major for eighth-place.
- Junior linebacker Andrew Gachkar picked up his first career sack when he stopped Furman quarterback Jordan Sorrells for a nine-yard loss in the first half.
- Sophomore defensive end Jacquires Smith scored the first touchdown of his career when he intercepted a Furman pass and ran 43-yards for the score. The pick was also the first of his career.
- The Tigers scored touchdowns on six consecutive possessions after going three-and-out on their first two drives. The last time Mizzou notched six consecutive drives of touchdowns was against Nevada last season.
- Sophomore kicker Grant Ressel remained perfect on the season with a 44-yard field goal and seven PATs in the contest. Ressel is now 6-of-6 on field goals this season and has made all 14 of his PAT attempts.
- Missouri scored 28 points in the second quarter, the highest quarter output since the Tigers notched 28 points in the second quarter against Ole Miss in 2007.
