Missouri vs. Nebraska Game Notes
February 14, 2009
Missouri extended its home record to 16-0 this season with the win over Nebraska. The Tigers have now won 17 in a row at home dating back to last season, which ties for the 6th longest in team history.
Missouri held Nebraska to 19 first half points, the fourth time the Tigers have held an opponent under 20 in the first half this season.
Missouri's 9-2 start in Big 12 play is their best in history. The Tigers have won 5 Big 12 games in a row for the first time since the 2003-04 season.
Mizzou forced 20 turnovers and scored 28 points off the turnovers.
Mizzou shot 15-29 in the second half for 52% after shooting 33% in the first half.
Leo Lyons finished 7-8 from the free-throw line and narrowly missed a double-double with 9 points, 10 rebounds.
Missouri used a 10-0 run early in the first half to establish a lead they would not relinquish and extended their lead to as much as 28.
The starting lineup of Carroll, Taylor, Tiller, English, and Lyons is now 5-0 on the season.
The Tigers had 6 blocked shots on the night, three of which came from Ramsey.
Mizzou had 18 assists on 25 made baskets.
The Tigers had four players in double figures with Carroll and Lawrence leading the way with 13. Tiller had 11 on 5-7 shooting and Denmon scored 10.
