Columbia, Mo. - A number of exciting basketball games are on the horizon for Missouri Basketball and Mizzou Athletics is announcing that tickets for the Big 12 Conference season (excluding the March 6 game vs. Kansas) and the Dec. 23 Busch Braggin' Rights Game against the University of Illinois in St. Louis will go on sale Friday night at 6 p.m. through mutigers.com.
Tickets for those games will be available over the phone and at the MU Athletics Ticket Office windows starting Monday (Dec. 14) as well.
Missouri went a perfect 8-0 at home in Big 12 action last season and owns the nation's fifth longest homecourt winning streak at 23 games. Mizzou Arena will play host to a number of key contests in 2009-10, including the Big 12-opener against Kansas State on Jan. 9 as well as games against Nebraska, Oklahoma State, Texas A&M, Iowa State, Texas and Colorado.
Tickets for the annual M&I Bank Border Showdown with Kansas will go on sale Feb. 5 at 6 p.m. Tickets for that Saturday afternoon affair can only be purchased online via mutigers.com, with a limit of four tickets per customer.
Tiger fans can also purchase their tickets for the Busch Braggin' Rights Game on Friday. The Dec. 23 contest should be an exciting one as both Mizzou and Illinois are coming off NCAA Tournament appearances.
Missouri Basketball returns to action on Wednesday with a key non-conference test against Oral Roberts in Tulsa. The Tigers are 5-2 on the young season, including a resounding 106-69 victory against Oregon last Saturday in the Big 12 / Pac-10 Hardwood Series.
