COLUMBIA, Mo. - The University of Missouri women's soccer team (7-4-3, 2-0-2) defeated the Big 12 leading Colorado Buffaloes (7-7-0, 4-2-0) in overtime 1-0 to remain undefeated in conference play. Alysha Bonnick netted her second game-winning goal of the season, making her first place all-time with 12 career game winners. With her second shutout of the season, senior goalkeeper Tasha Dittamore also moved herself up in the record books by setting the Missouri record in career shutouts with 15.

The Tigers spent the majority of the first half controlling the through the midfield and maintaining possession on Colorado's side of the field. Dittamore made one of her two saves on the night on Colorado's best chance of the half in the 35th minute, when Shaye Marshall put a hard shot on net. The Missouri defense remained stout, giving up only six shots total, two of which were on target. Missouri's best chance of the half came in the 38th minute when Kari Adam struck a first-time shot on the Colorado net, forcing a sprawling save from goalkeeper Kara Linder. The teams would go into halftime level at 0-0.

The Tigers would continue to control the ball in the second half, but struggled to create chances. In the 56th minute, Bonnick had a chance to put the Tigers ahead when she found herself on a breakaway in Colorado territory. Bonnick's put her shot on net, but Linder pushed the ball away to preserve the score. The Tigers had 22 total shots in regulation, but couldn't find the game winner in regulation as Missouri headed to overtime for the third straight game, tied at 0-0.

Missouri didn't wait long to lock up victory over the Buffaloes, as Michelle Collins charged on a loose ball on the right side of the Colorado box before sneaking a low cross to Bonnick who tapped in the game-winner only 34 seconds into the first overtime period. The assist gave Collins her team-leading fourth of the season, and she currently leads the team in points with 15.

The Tigers will look to remain undefeated in conference play on Sunday, Oct. 11, as they square off against the Red Raiders of Texas Tech.
