Mizzou Volleyball Tailgate Photo Gallery
COLUMBIA, Mo. -- The Mizzou volleyball program held a team tailgate prior to Thursday night's nationally televised Mizzou-Nebraska football game. The festivities featured a wide array of food, pumpkin carving, plenty of laughs and a front-row seat for Mizzou's football game with the Cornhuskers later that evening.
In all, the team carved eight jack-o-lanterns, all of which remained on display outside the Hearnes Center volleyball offices throughout the football game. The tailgate served as a team-bonding activity and also showed the support and camaraderie that the Mizzou student-athletes have developed for each other. The volleyball team had a front-row seat for arguably the biggest football game at Mizzou this season as they cheered their classmates on throughout the game.
The volleyball team's support for the football team is just one example of a long line of student-athletes that have come out to support their fellow athletes this season. Earlier this season during the volleyball squad's `Dig for a Cure' match against Kansas, a chest-painted JT Tiller of the men's basketball team led an athlete cheering section that featured members of the men's and women's basketball teams, the track & field team and gymnastics teams, among others.
