Tigers Head to Greater Louisville Classic

Oct. 3, 2009

Columbia, Mo. - The Mizzou cross country women head to the Greater Louisville Classic Saturday morning at E.B. "Tom" Sawyer Park in Louisville, Ky. The women are coming off a two-week break; their last meet was the Mizzou Cross Country Challenge in Columbia, where the women looked strong as they repeated as meet champions.

The women run at 10:15 a.m. Saturday. The team is bringing 12 runners, including all the top seven finishers at the Mizzou Cross Country Challenge.

The Greater Louisville Classic will have 76 teams competing from 16 states. This makes the meet the largest ever contested in the south. However, the Tiger men will not be among the 76; they have the week off this weekend.
