Missouri senior Chelsea Schriewer won the St. Louis Metropolitan Women's Amateur Championship at Bogey Hills Country Club on Tuesday. Playing her home course, Schriewer carded rounds of 68 and 72 to win her first Metropolitan title.
Schriewer and Ellen Port went to the final hole of the tournament tied. Schriewer made par, while Port bogeyed the 36th hole of the championship to give Schriewer a one-shot win. It was the second tournament in less than a week in which Schriewer won by one shot over Port. Last Thursday, Schriewer claimed a one-shot victory over Port in the Missouri Women's State Amateur Championship at Osage National Golf Club.
Lindsey Haupt, a sophomore at Missouri, finished third with rounds of 73 and 74. She was six shots behind Port and seven back of Schriewer. Incoming freshman Jacque Bardgett took fifth place carding rounds of 79 and 76, while sophomore Kelsey Meyer finished 13th after shooting an 86 and an 82.
