Columbia, Mo. -
Mizzou had two of its offensive superstars named Associated Press First-Team All-Americans Tuesday, as senior TE Chase Coffman and sophomore Jeremy Maclin were selected to the prestigious all-star team. Maclin was chosen as the team's all-purpose back for the second-straight year, while Coffman gives MU its second-straight tight end to earn the distinction, following the 2007 first-team selection of former standout Martin Rucker.
Additionally, junior LB Sean Weatherspoon was tabbed a third-team All-American by the panel of voters.
Mizzou is off until Friday, due to final examinations, and returns to the practice field Friday afternoon, and will hold single practices each day until leaving for San Antonio, Texas, on Dec. 23rd, where they will prepare to play in the 2008 Valero Alamo Bowl. The game is set for 7:06 p.m. on Dec. 29th.
