Hello Tiger Fans :) It has been another busy week in the gym, concluding our second week of preseason training. Our bodies have had the weekend to recover, and we are all ready to get into another week of intense training. As a team we have done an amazing job adjusting to the new schedule this year, including conditioning both before and after practice. Although the structure of our practices can be both mentally and physically draining, we are all excited to see how our conditioned bodies will improve our gymnastics.

For only being the second week of preseason, it is impressive to see how ahead of the game we are. Many of us are starting halves on bars, and even twisting vaults. Our floor routines have been coming along great, thanks to the original choreography from Amy. It has been a thrill to watch everyone's new routines, we will definitely be the team to watch on floor this year from a performance aspect! The style of the routines is so different from person to person, our line-up is going to be so diverse. The tumbling is also looking strong , as we are quickly approaching assignments with back-to-back tumbling. Although these assignments can be difficult endurance-wise, I am confident that the hard work we have been putting in inside the weight room will help out immensely. As a team we have made huge strides these past two weeks, we are going to open many eyes in the gymnastics community this year!

To tie up a great week, we had our annual Booster Club picnic on Saturday afternoon. It was nice to relax with family and coaches outside the gym, and we are so fortunate to have great support from our Booster Club. Jan Summers made us a beautiful slideshow, revisiting some of our proudest moments from last season. The picnic was a lot of fun, with great food and great people. The Mizzou gymnastics team is so thankful to have such a great Booster Club! We love you!

After another crazy week of classes and training we are all ready to start up again. All of our hard work is going to pay off, and this year will be OUR year! But for now, we are going to concentrate on the third week of our training and what it has in store :)

Take Care, *Lap
