The Mizzou men's golf team will host the 1st Annual UMB-Mizzou Tiger Intercollegiate Classic next week at The Club at Old Hawthorne. The two-day, 54-hole event will begin at 8 a.m. on Monday. The first two rounds will be played on day one, with the final round scheduled to start at 8 a.m. on Tuesday.

The tournament is the first hosted by the Tiger men's team at Old Hawthorne. Previously, Missouri has hosted the Missouri Bluff Intercollegiate in St. Charles, Mo.

Ten teams from around the nation will join the Tigers in the field, as a total of 62 golfers will participate.

The Club at Old Hawthorne opened in the spring of 2007 and is the new home of the Mizzou men's and women's golf programs. The MU women's team hosted the 1st Annual Johnie Imes Invitational in October at Old Hawthorne.

Spectators are invited to attend the UMB-Mizzou Tigers Intercollegiate free of charge.
