Mizzou in 14th at NCAA Central Regional

ANN ARBOR, Mich.- - Missouri moved up one spot at the NCAA Central Regional and now stands in 14th place after carding a 304 in Friday's second round. The Tigers have a two-round total of 614, one shot behind 13th place Northwestern.
Junior Madde Augustsson turned in the best round of the day for the Tigers on Friday, carding a one-over-par 72. She made two birdies on the front nine on her way to a one-under-par 35, before shooting a two-over 37 on the second nine. Augustsson in tied for 23rd place with a 148 total after two rounds.
Senior Stephanie Wavro is tied for 58th spot with a 36-hole score of 153 after turning in a 78 in Friday's second round. Freshman Julia Potter had the second best round of the day for MU. Her 75 on Friday gives her a two-round total of 155, placing her in a tie for 68th place.
Sophomores Chelsea Schriewer and Ellen Hoeper are tied for 82nd and 89th place respectively. Schriewer shot a 79 on Friday for a 36-hole total of 159, while Hoeper's second round of 82 gives her a two-day total of 161.
USC leads the tournament with a two-day score of 571, nine shots ahead of second place TCU.
The final round of the Central Regional is Saturday. Three regional tournaments are being conducted this week to determine the field for the NCAA Championships. The top eight teams and two individuals from each region will advance to the NCAA Championships in Daytona Beach, Fla. May 22-25.
