Nebraska Game Reaches Sold-Out Status

Oct. 3, 2007

COLUMBIA, Mo. - The University of Missouri football game in Columbia, Mo., this Saturday evening against the Nebraska Cornhuskers has reach a sellout, with no more tickets being sold, as announced this afternoon by the Department of Athletics.

A capacity crowd is anticipated for Saturday's game, with a kickoff time set for 8:15 p.m. at MU's Memorial Stadium/Faurot Field between the 17th-ranked Tigers and 25th-ranked Cornhuskers.

A few points of emphasis for fans to remember Saturday include:

  • This is the annual "Gold Rush" game, and all fans are encouraged to wear gold, in order to pack the stands with the color to show well on national television...
  • At 6:00 p.m., the team will arrive via bus at the Mizzou Athletics Training Complex, and will conduct its tradition of "Tiger Walk," where the team ceremonially walks across the Tiger Walk Bridge spanning Providence Blvd., with fans lining the bridge and the ramp leading down behind the south stands. Fans are encouraged to come show their support for the team by joining in on this growing tradition...
  • Stadium gates will open at 6:30 p.m., and fans are encouraged to enter the game as early as possible to avoid the last-minute rush that can cause delays and force people to miss the first part of the game...
  • Umbrellas are not permitted in the stadium, and will be collected at the gates by stadium personnel...

Good seats are available for Mizzou's remaining home games for the 2007 season, including games against Texas Tech (Oct. 20th), Iowa State (Oct. 27th) and Texas A&M (Nov. 10th). Tickets can be purchased online at www.mutigers.com, on the phone at 1-800-CAT-PAWS (884-PAWS locally), or in person at the MU Athletic Ticket Office at Mizzou Arena.
