Coming off one of its better defensive showings of the season, the Missouri women's basketball team will get another strong test Wednesday when No. 23 Texas pays a visit to Mizzou Arena at 6:30 p.m. CT.

Missouri (13-2, 1-1 Big 12) held Iowa State to a season-low 32 percent in a 66-56 win on Saturday. That gave the Tigers their ninth-consecutive home win and their seventh in the last nine league games at Mizzou Arena.

MU senior EeTisha Riddle has played consistent ball throught the season and leads the Tigers in scoring, at 15.3 points per game. She led Mizzou with 21 against the Cyclones and has reached 20 points in six of her last nine games.

But Texas (11-4, 0-1 Big 12) presents a different challenge for Mizzou. While ISU leads the Big in 3-pointers made per game, Texas is last with just 2.7 per game and will play a more inside-oriented game led by reigning Big 12 Co-Player of the Week Tiffany Jackson. Jackson averages 20.1 points and 9.1 rebounds per game and gets to the foul line nearly eight times per contest.

UT will be without the services of guard Erika Arriaran who tore her left anterior cruciate ligament in the Longhorns' 64-61 win over then 10th-ranked Purdue on Sunday. She had been averaging 10.5 points per contest and her 26 3-pointers was the most on the team by 22.

Texas leads the all-time series 12-1 and has won five-consecutive dating back to the 2001 season when Missouri claimed a 68-52 win over the 12th-ranked Horns at the Hearnes Center in Columbia. This also marks the fourth straight time the Longhorns have been ranked when visiting the Tigers.

Ticket prices are $5 for adults and $3 for youth and senior citizens. Students throughout the Columbia Public Schools system also received vouchers for two free tickets during school last Friday. Additionally, discounted tickets of $2 are available for employees and guests of both State Farm and Shelter Insurance branches in Columbia.

Prior to the game Sixth Stripe Club members will have a "Chalk Talk" reception in the Clinton Club at Mizzou Arena starting at 5:30 p.m.
