
Mizzou Second After Two Rounds of Ron Moore Intercollegiate

HIGHLANDS RIDGE, Colo. - - The Mizzou Women's Golf team turned in one of its best days of the season, as it is in second place after two rounds of play at the Ron Moore Intercollegiate in Highlands Ridge Golf Club outside of Denver, Colo. The Tigers turned in two rounds of 293 on Monday for a 586 score after 36 holes.
Missouri trails only the tournament host Denver, who holds a commanding 22 shot lead.
Sophomore Chelsea Schriewer followed a one-under par 71 in the opening round with an even-par 72 in the second round. She is tied for ninth place overall with a 36-hole tournament of 143. Junior Madde Augustsson trails Schriewer by one shot, carding rounds of 74 and 70 for a two-round total of 144, placing her in a tie for 12th place in the individual standings.
Freshman Michelle Morgan, who is competing as an individual in the tournament and not as a member of the MU lineup, turned in rounds of 72 and 76 in her first collegiate action and is tied for 20th place after two rounds of play.
Senior Stephanie Wavro is tied for 24th place with a two-round total of 149 (75-74) and freshman Julia Potter has a 36-hole score of 151 (73-78) and is tied for 28th. Sophomore Ellen Hoeper is in a tie for 52nd place with a 156 score after two rounds of play.
Mizzou is two shots ahead of third place, BYU and five shots in front of fourth-place Arkansas-Little Rock.
The final round of Ron Moore Intercollegiate is Tuesday.
