
Sophomores Lead Tigers on Day Two of Mason Rudolph Championships

FRANKLIN, Tenn. - - A pair of Mizzou sophomores turned in the teams best scores in the second round of the Mason Rudolph Championships in Franklin, Tenn. Chelsea Schriewer and Ellen Hoeper each carded rounds of one-over-par 73 on Saturday on the Ironhorse Course at the Vanderbilt Legends Club. As a team, MU improved on it first round score by three shots, with a 301 in round two and is in 12th place overall.
Schriewer opened the round on the back nine and birdied three holes, including the last two to card a one-under-par 35 on her first nine holes. She got to two-under-par after a birdie on her 11th hole of the day, but bogied the next four holes before a birdie on her 16th hole.
Hoeper matched Schriewer with a one-under-par 35 on her first nine holes. She birdied back-to-back holes, her fifth and sixth hole of the round, and closed her first nine with a birdie.
Schriewer is in a tie for 40th place overall, while Hoeper is tied for 50th after two rounds.
Freshman Julia Potter turned in a 77 on Saturday after an even-par 72 in round one and continues to lead the Tigers as she is in a tie for 35th place.
Junior Madde Augustsson is tied for 65th spot after an 81 on Saturday and senior Stephanie Wavro turned in a 78 in the second round and is tied for 70th.
The tournament will conclude with the final round on Sunday.
