
Mizzou Fifth After Two Rounds at Sunflower Invitational

LAWRENCE, Kan. - Missouri will head into Tuesday's final round of the Marilynn Smith Sunflower Invitational tied for fifth place after rounds of 311 and 314 on Monday at Alvamar Golf Club in Lawrence, Kan. The Tigers, who were in third place after Monday morning's first round, are three shots out of fourth place, five shots from third and six back of second place.
Mizzou senior Stephanie Wavro is in fourth place after the first day of action, carding rounds of 76 and 75 for a 36-hole total of 151. She trails the tournament leader, Amanda Costner of Kansas, by four shots.
Junior Madde Augustsson is tied for 12th place after recording a 77 and 78 on Monday for a two-round score of 155. Freshman Julia Potter turned in rounds of 77 and 83 and is tied for 31st spot with the 160 score after 36 holes.
Sophomore Chelsea Schriewer shot 164 (81-83) for the opening two rounds and freshman Michelle Morgan turned in a 169 (85-84) on day one.
Host-school Kansas leads the tournament with a two-round total of 610. The final round will be played on Tuesday morning at Alvamar.
