Judith Ann Wells, 67, of Columbia died Tuesday, May 16, 2006, at her home.
Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, May 19, at Bethel Baptist Church, 201 E. Old Plank Road. Family will receive friends from 9 to 10 a.m. Friday at the church.
Mrs. Wells was born Feb. 26, 1939, in St. Louis to Plumer H. and Gertrude B. Langosch Breece. She was married to Harold Wells. He preceded her in death.
Mrs. Wells graduated from Webster Groves High School in Webster Groves. She attended McMurray College and received her doctorate in horticulture from the University of Missouri-Columbia. Mrs. Wells worked many years as a learning facilitator in the Total Person Program at the University of Missouri Athletic Department. She loved tutoring the students. Mrs. Wells was known by some as the "recycling queen of Columbia" and was a member of Bethel Baptist Church.
She is survived by one son, Christopher H. Wells of Fairview Heights, Ill.; two brothers, Frederick P. Breece of Bunceton and Robert P. Breece of St. Louis; one grandson; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Arrangements are under the direction of Parker Funeral Service.
