
Mizzou Baseball, Zimmer Radio Group Renew Agreement

The University of Missouri and the Zimmer Radio Group have extended their partnership that will keep Mizzou Baseball on Zimmer through 2009. Mizzou Sports Properties, the multi-media rights holder of the University of Missouri Department of Athletics, has announced a four-year renewal of the radio rights agreement for Tiger Baseball.
"We are excited to able continue this partnership with Zimmer," General Manager of Mizzou Sports Properties Laird Veatch said. "This has been a great relationship and we're glad it will continue. It is a great situation for our baseball program and our fans who can listen to every game."
All of Mizzou's regular season and postseason games will air on KTGR 1580 in Columbia. In addition, a majority of the games will be simulcast on KWOS-AM 950 in Jefferson City and KFAL-AM 900 in Fulton. Tex Little will return for his 16th season of calling Tiger Baseball and Luke Cassis will once again provide the color analysis.
"We are so excited to be part of Tiger Baseball," KTGR Director of Operations Tony Richards said. "They have done such a great job with the team and we are just proud to be part of a winner like Mizzou."
Zimmer acquired the radio rights for Mizzou Baseball in the fall of 2002. KTGR is an affiliate of ESPN Radio.
"This has been a great partnership and we are glad to see it continue," Mizzou Head Coach Tim Jamieson said. "We are excited about the upcoming season and we're proud to have Zimmer on board with us."
The Tigers, who are ranked No. 10 in Baseball America's Preseason Poll, will open up the 2006 season on Feb. 9 against East Tennessee Sate in Charleston, S.C. That game, along with all of Mizzou Baseball's contests this year, can be heard on KTGR 1580-AM.
