Columbia, Mo. - Led by Head Coach Ty Singleton, the Missouri softball squad earned a team-high 3.33 grade-point average during the fall semester with two individuals, junior Kathy Masterson (St. Louis, Mo.) and sophomore Amy Henke (Florissant, Mo.) recording perfect 4.0 GPA's.
Over the past three year's of Singleton's coaching career at Mizzou, the Tiger softball squad has earned at least a 3.0 yearly GPA with this season's fall semester average of 3.33 noted as the highest semester mark in over 15 years.
Majoring in Engineering, this marks Masterson's fifth semester with a 4.0 grade-point average giving the catcher a cumulative GPA of 4.0. Henke, an English major, has recorded a 4.0 in two of her past three semesters at Missouri.
The Missouri softball team will open its 2006 campaign Friday, Feb. 10, in Atlanta, Ga., with a three-game series against No. 17 Georgia Tech.
