Columbia, Mo. - Bob Dylan recently wrapped up a tour of minor-league baseball parks with Willie Nelson, but the rock legend will continue his roadwork this fall with a trek that touches down at college campuses in October and November. Grammy Award winner Bob Dylan is set to bring his legendary music to the University of Missouri - Columbia's Hearnes Center for a concert on October 27th.
More than any other rock artist, Bob Dylan was a poet with a guitar. A true icon of American popular culture, songwriter and entertainer Bob Dylan was a catalyst for changing social currents in the 1960s with memorable songs like "Blowin' in the Wind." His music served to influence every important musical personality from the Beatles on. Dylan is best known for songs such as "The Times They are A-Changing", "Like a Rolling Stone" and "Mr. Tambourine Man."
Next month, Dylan is set for two new releases. Both are books that will be in stores Oct. 12.
One will be a compendium of lyrics from his songs called "Lyrics: 1962-2001." On the same day he also will release another book that will contain a series of first-person accounts on his life and career.
