The University of Missouri women's golf squad continued to improve their standing at the Betsy Rawls Invitational. The No. 12-ranked Tigers shot 310 today and moved into eighth place from 12th after yesterday's 325.
"We didn't finish the day the way we had hoped but we did hit some quality shots and played with confidence," Head Coach Stephanie Cooper said. "We need to putt well tomorrow and concentrate on every shot we take."
Freshman Madde Augustsson, who is playing as an invidudual this weekend, moved into a tie for second place after shooting a second straight round of 75, just three strokes out of the lead at the event. Junior Kelli Strubinger also played well firing a second round 75 to move into a tie for 13th, up 13 spots from yesterday's first round.
Complete and final results will be available tomorrow with the Tigers set to tee off at 8:30 am in Austin. Live scoring will also be available at www.mutigers.com via www.golfstat.com. For more information on Mizzou Women's Golf, log on to www.mutigers.com.
