
Mizzou Tennis Overpowers Creighton

Omaha, Neb.- The #72 Missouri tennis team turned in a perfect performance continuing its win streak with a 7-0 victory over Creighton. The win takes the Tigers to a 4-1 record as the team gears up to face #52 Nebraska.
The Tigers jumped to the early lead clinching the doubles points sweeping all three matches. In singles competition, Mizzou continued to dominate winning all six matches. The closest the Bluejay's threatened the Tigers was in the No. 2 singles match when Creighton's Deidre Senders battled for a second set tiebreaker before sophomore Erika Josbena took charge winning the match 6-2, 7-6. Highlighting for the Tigers, freshman Charlotte Bellis and sophomore Yelena Olshanskaya both won their matches without dropping a single set.
Missouri kicks off Big 12 Conference action taking on Sat., Feb.12 against the Cornhuskers. The Tigers return home next weekend for a seven-match home stand beginning with Murray State on Fri. Feb. 18 at 6:00 p.m., in the Green Tennis Center
