Post-Match Quotes: Kansas at No. 7 Missouri

Oct. 15, 2005

Recap |  Box Score

"It's all about energy when we play, and I thought we did a good job of getting that back after [the loss to Texas]."

"Defensively, sometimes less is more, and it the last couple of matches, we were trying really hard that the quality was going down."

"When you serve tough, you keep the other team from getting into their offense. Whenever you can do that, it just makes everything easier, that's one of the things we did tonight."

On Lindsey Hunter's performance

"I was really pleased on how Lindsey bounced back [after Texas]. Prior to tonight's match, in the last eight matches we played, she had 23 serving errors [this season], and 16 in the four [matches]. She was really struggling in the last four matches, and I think it was really good to see her get out and play and get her confidence back. It's just like hitting baseballs or shooting free throws; you get in a slump. You start thinking too much and start over-analyzing, and just have to make it happen."

On the Attendance:

"It's really phenomenal. We couldn't be more appreciative. If I had enough time, I would literally stand here and shake every person's hand that walks through the door. We talked about [the attendance] before we came out for the third game, about all of these people that are coming to watch [our team] play. They are not coming here, to watch us win, they're coming here because they enjoy watching us play."
