Dandridge and Josbena Earns Student-Athlete Honors

Columbia, Mo. -Missouri sophomore Erika Josbena (tennis) and freshman Glen Dandridge (basketball) were named this week's Lathrop & Gage student-athletes of the week. Both students hold above a 3.0 grade-point average, are successful members on their respective teams and commit themselves to the surrounding community through various outreach programs.

A native of Goochland, Va., Dandridge holds a 3.23 grade-point average and is undecided on his major. Playing in 27 games this season at either forward or guard, Dandridge has totaled 55 points, 12 rebounds and seven steals. Dandridge made two starts this season in games against Kansas State (Jan. 29) and Kansas (Jan. 31). Outside of the classroom and away from the court, Dandridge is a Youth Clinic assistant, Columbia Boys and Girls Club mentor and remains actively involved in the Coaches vs. Cancer campaign.

Undecided on her major, Josbena holds a 3.45 grade-point average and has helped the community through her volunteer work with the Central Missouri Food Bank Pantry. A native of Wallingford, Pa., Josbena most recently took second place (8-5) in doubles alongside teammate Yelena Olshanskaya when competing against Air Force, March 5.

The men's basketball team will open Big 12 tournament action this Thursday, March 10, in Kansas City Mo. Missouri's women's tennis team will resume action at home, Saturday, March 12, at 4 p.m. (CT) against Eastern Illinois.
