Tiger Tennis Hits the Road

Columbia, Mo.- The Missouri women's tennis team travels to Nebraska this weekend for matches against Creighton and Nebraska. The Tigers (3-1) are looking to sustain the momentum they've picked up from their recent victories over Dartmouth and Drake.

The Tigers enter the weekend after picking up victories over Minnesota, Drake and Dartmouth. Bolstering the team has been newcomer Carolyn Kramer. Kramer, a senior transfer from Virginia Tech, is 3-1 on the season. Her only loss coming in a tightly contested match against Oregon's Ester Bak in which she was bested 7-6, 6-4.

Nebraska enters the match with a record of 6-0 with impressive wins over 44 Iowa and 68 Washington State. Creighton has a 1-3 record with losses to Nebraska, Colorado State and Wyoming.

The team returns home the following week to entertain Murray State and Iowa State. The Tigers face Murray State on Fri., Feb. 18 at 6:00 p.m., and Iowa State Sun., Feb. 20 at 12 p.m. All Mizzou tennis matches are played in the Green Tennis Center and are open to the public.
