Coach Blitz on the 2005 class as a whole:

"As a staff we have worked very hard to bring in a group of players that we knew could help fill the holes that would be left by such a large graduating class from 2004. Whether those holes are filled by some of our 15 returnees or by one of these newcomers of the 2005 class, we are still very excited about next season. Not only does our talent level continue to improve each year but we also know that we have added strength, speed, and skill to an already athletic team. We can't wait to begin training this coming fall so that we can see the improvement players like Erica Pusch, Amber Swinehart, Jennie Nobis and Elyse Nikonchuk have made and the positive influence our entire team will have on the growth of this program. Along with this incoming group, we are hoping for some great things this coming fall from all of our individuals not only on the field but also in the classroom and in the community."

Her passion for the game and drive to win will be just a couple of the attributes that she will bring to our team. Mo is that special player that will help continue to build our Mizzou program. For us, she will fit right in with how we compete and our style of play. She has great vision and skill that makes her one of the best midfielders to come out of Indiana this year. She is also one of the fastest players in this class with a tremendous amount of potential. Ashley is a very coachable individual that is at the beginning of what we feel will be a tremendous career here at Missouri and in the Big XII Conference. "Mallory is a great goalkeeper that has very quick hands and great foot skills. Some of other attributes are her decision making and positioning within the goal. Very rarely is she caught out of place and we feel with our daily goalkeeper training Mallory will quickly become a high quality keeper. She is a very coach able player with a great attitude to succeed on and off the field. We are definitely looking forward to seeing how Mal continues to develop as a student-athlete in our program so that she can challenge our other goalies for playing time. Mallory has been a Region II and Missouri state team goalkeeper for the past few years, but she also likes to play forward for her club team, which contributes to her fantastic foot skills that will only help her at the college level."

She has a tremendous blue-collar work ethic, love of the game, and willingness to do the little things that make a player special and a team successful. Janelle is a very fit, skillful, and athletic player who spends her off-season running cross-country for her high school team. This drive to stay fit and mental toughness makes Janelle a pleasure to have in this recruiting class. "Transferring to us this winter from Wake Forest, Anne will have the opportunity to train and play with us for the entire spring. We are very happy to have a player of Anne's skill and craftiness joining our program. We think that she will bring a level of maturity and experience to our group having had the opportunity to play within the ACC Conference. Anne proved herself on and off the field at Wake achieving a 3.55 GPA in the classroom and playing in 3 of the last 4 games of the season as well as the 1st round of the NCAA tournament after coming off an injury that had kept her out of the lineup for the beginning of the year. She comes from a quality club team out of Dallas, TX, Solar SC, where she played against some of the best youth players in this country so we look for Anne to fit in well as a solid addition to our roster."
