
Missouri Falls to Iowa State, 2-0

Columbia, Mo.--The Missouri Tigers fall to 5-8-1 on the season with a 2-4-0 record in Big 12 Conference play following a 2-0 loss to Iowa State. The Tigers outshot the Cyclones 21-to-20, including a 13-to-8 shot on goal differential, but were unable to put a ball past ISU goalkeeper Jo Haig.
The Tigers battled to a 0-0 deadlock following first half play. The Cyclones matched Mizzou with nine shots in the period. Despite topping Iowa State with a 6-to-3 shot on goal accuracy, the Tigers were unable to find the net.
Iowa State came back to score two goals during the second half. Amy Flores put the Cyclones on the board scoring an unassisted goal just four minutes into play. Iowa State rounded out the game capitalizing on a cornerkick. Renee de St. Aubin crossed a ball over the Mizzou box where Brittanie Waddell headed it into the net.
Missouri continues Big 12 play on the road next week facing Texas A&M and Texas. The Tigers return home to play Texas Tech on Fri., Oct. 22 at 7:00 p.m.
