Columbia, Mo. - While most college students were winding down their spring breaks, sophomore diver Aaron Wionzek was competing at the 2004 Canadian Winter Senior National diving championships in Calgary, Alberta, Canada from March 25-28.
Wionzek, a native of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan placed 10th on the 1-meter board with the score of 282.75 and finished 15th on the 3-meter board with his score of 459.99. With his finishes at the Canadian National meet, Wionzek is now ranked 10th and 15th among Canadian divers.
Wionzek's teammate's, sophomore Evan Watters and Nicole Frazier and freshman Kim Massaro will all be competing at the U.S. Senior Zone Diving Championships July 2-4 with hopes of qualifying for the U.S. National Diving Championships July 20-25 in Mission Viejo, California. Watters has already qualified for the National meet on the 1-meter board, but is still hoping to qualify on 3-meter and the platform.
