Notes on win over Nebraska
-Mizzou improves to 19-9 overall and 9-7 in the Big 12
-The Tigers are now 1-0 all-time against the No. 12 seed of the Big 12 Tournament and 6-0 in the first round of the event.
-Mizzou finishes the season against Nebraska at 3-0 and now leads the all-time series with the Huskers, 116-83.
- MU has won five straight contests against Nebraska and eight of the last nine in the series.
- Mizzou improves to 8-6 all-time in the Big 12 Tournament.
-Mizzou is now 8-1 all-time in the Dallas-Fort Worth area and 24-19 in the state of Texas.
-This was the largest deficit overcome for a victory by Mizzou; 18 points, 22-4, 12:21 1st half.
-Juniors Rickey Paulding and Arthur Johnson each had double-doubles in the contest, marking the first time two Mizzou players had double-doubles in the same contest this season.
-Four Tigers reached double figures in scoring, the 13th time that has happened this season.
-Mizzou improved to 4-8 on the season when they have trailed at the half of a game.
-The Tigers improved to 2-1 this season in neutral court contests and 1-0 on Thursdays this season.
-Mizzou is now 5-3 this season on the ESPN+ network.
-The Tigers improve to 5-1 when they are the higher seeded team in the bracket of the tourney.
-The Tigers improve to 10-5 with the starting lineup of Ricky Clemons, Arthur Johnson, Jimmy McKinney, Arthur Johnson and Rickey Paulding.
-The Tigers are now 17-0 this season when they have a better shooting percentage than their opponent.
-Mizzou improves to 13-0 this season when they allow an opponent 69 points or less.
-Mizzou dominated the paint in the contest, outscoring the Huskers, 26-10 down low
-The Tigers also dominated the boards, out-rebounding the Huskers, 46-38. Mizzou is 13-3 this season when they out-rebound their opponent.
-The Tigers have definitely been a second half team this year as they have out-scored their opponents in the second half of games, 1,113-967. Thursday was no exception to the rule as they out-scored the Huskers, 38-28 in the second stanza of the contest.
Individual Player Notes
Junior Arthur Johnson
-Arthur Johnson recorded his 16th double-double of the season with 18 points and 12 rebounds.
-AJ has reached double figures in scoring in 25 of the Tigers' 28 contests and has reached double-figures in rebounds in 16 of 28 contests.
-AJ has led the Tigers in rebounding in 20 of the Tigers' 28 games this season.
-He now has 1,171 career points putting him in 26th place on the Mizzou all-time scoring charts. He needs just 17 points to move past Bob Reiter for the 25th spot on the chart.
-He equaled a season high with five blocks in the game and now has 186 career blocks.
-He was named the All-Big 12 second team by the coaches on Thursday.
Junior Rickey Paulding
-Rickey Paulding recorded his first career double-double with a game-high 19 points and 11rebounds. 11 boards were also a career-high for Paulding.
-Rickey Paulding's 19 points moved him past Norm Stewart into 27th place on the all-time scoring list at Mizzou. He now has 1,127 career points.
-Rickey has reached double figures in scoring in 27 of the Tigers 28 games this season and has averaged 19.5 points and 6.3 board per contest over the past five games.
-He was awesome shooting 8-of-15 from the field including 3-of-7 from three.
-Rickey was named to the Coaches' All-Big 12 second time on Wednesday.
Junior Ricky Clemons
-Clemons scored in double figures for the 25th time this season.
-He was 2-of-5 from beyond the three-point arc and moves into fifth on the Mizzou single-season three point shots made. He now need six threes to move into the fourth on the chart.
-Clemons also handed out three assists and had two steals in the game.
Freshman Jimmy McKinney
-McKinney had 11 points marking the 13th time he has reached double figures in scoring this season.
-He was 3-of-4 from the free throw line and handed out three assist.
Vs. Oklahoma State
-The Tigers lead the all-time series with Oklahoma State, 68-37, but OSU has won six of the last 10 in the series.
-Coach Quin Snyder is 1-3 against OSU.
-The Tigers have never faced the Cowboys in the Big 12 Tournament but they did own a 5-1 advantage against the Pokes in the Big 8 Conference Tourney.
-Mizzou faced OSU earlier this season (Jan. 18) in Stillwater, Okla., and dropped the contest, 76-56.
-The Tigers were without their third-leading scorer, Ricky Clemons, as he was serving what ended up being a one-game suspension. -
