The last dual of the night was against 2002 NAIA National Champions Lindenwood University. The Tigers made quick work of the Lions and defeated them 53-0. The 53 points represented a team best under Head Coach Brian Smith. It was the first time a Tiger team had reached the 50 point plateau since the 1980-81 season against Western Illinois (51-0). The score is tied for the second highest score in Mizzou history behind the 1980-81 team's victory over Shippensburg State, 56-0.
Senior Kevin Herron recorded his third pin of the night, pinning Arthur Langston in 1:30. The victory increased his team leading total in duals to 11 wins, with 10 of the wins by pin.
Junior Kenny Burleson increased his combined win total to 23, which leads the team.
The three straight dual shutouts is a new Missouri record.
Up next for the Tigers will be the prestigious National Duals on January 18 and 19 in Columbus, Ohio. The meet will include 16 of the top Division I teams in the country.
