Kristen Heil Named Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week

Sept. 9, 2003

DALLAS -- Missouri's Kristen Heil, Texas' Dana Hall, and Oklahoma State's Adriane Radtke were named Big 12 Soccer Players of the Week, the conference office announced Tuesday.

Heil was Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week, Hall was Defensive Player of the Week, and Radtke was Newcomer of the Week.

Heil, a junior forward, was named tournament MVP while helping lead Missouri to the Nike Tiger Invitational title. The Algonquin, Ill., native scored MU's first goal in both wins against Purdue and Arizona as the team is off to a 4-0 start and entered the NSCAA Poll at No. 25 this week. Heil has three goals and six points on the year.

Freshman goalkeeper Hall made her Texas debut against No. 20 Clemson last weekend and turned in another impressive performance vs. Furman in her second consecutive start. She played great defense around the penalty area against Clemson and made two saves while earning her first collegiate win and UT's first shutout of 2003. Opposite Furman, the Kingwood, Texas, native collected five saves while notching her second straight shutout. She is now 2-0 on the season with a 0.00 goals-against average.

Radtke, a freshman midfielder, tallied 12 points in Oklahoma State's wins over Sam Houston and Northwestern State. She scored a pair of goals in each contest and added three assists against SHSU and one vs. NSU. The Munich, Germany, native leads the team with 17 points and has scored in each of the Cowgirls' four contests.
