Missouri sophomore Erin Kalka has been named the Big 12 Conference Pitcher of the Week, as announced by the conference office on Tuesday. Kalka recorded her 12th victory of the season on Saturday with a three-hit shutout over No. 5 Texas.

The shutout was the seventh of the year for the Chandler, Okla. righthander as she struck out eight and allowed just three singles to the Longhorns. The win marked the second three-hit shutout over a ranked opponent for Kalka in the last two weeks. On March 26, she recorded a three-hit shutout over No. 4 Oklahoma in Norman, Okla.

On the season, Kalka has a 12-7 record and a 2.11 ERA. She has struck out 144 batters in 129.2 innings pitched and has had 10 strikeouts in three games this season.

Missouri is 22-13 on the season and will host Iowa State on Thursday in a doubleheader at University Field. First pitch for game one is set for 3 p.m.
